Kicking Off 2025: BizFleets’ Orlando Retreat for a Year of Big Goals

This past weekend, the BizFleets team traded their winter coats for sunshine and palm trees, heading to Orlando, Florida, for a mix of business, football, and fun. The trip was packed with memorable moments, from cheering on alma maters to sharing a fine dining experience, and it left everyone energized for the year ahead.

Football and Friendly Rivalry

After arriving in Orlando on Thursday afternoon, the first order of business was football. Danny Hill, a Notre Dame alum, and Alan Wisniewski, who played basketball at Penn State, brought their team loyalties to the forefront in a spirited rivalry as their alma maters faced off in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

The stakes were raised with a friendly bet: the loser would wear the winning team’s jersey for a full day. As Notre Dame clinched the win, Alan (COO) sportingly accepted his fate, spending Friday proudly—or begrudgingly—wearing a Notre Dame jersey.

Mapping the Future

Friday was a workday, but not the kind we’re used to. The team gathered for a day-long planning session focused on our 2025 goals. Every department had the chance to present their goals and strategies, aligning efforts to ensure the company continues to grow and lead. Danny Hill (CMO and Head of Channel Partnerships) shares, “We set some lofty goals that we’re all excited to meet and each put our signature on the business plan for 2025.”

The conversation ranged from innovative fleet management solutions to internal initiatives designed to make BizFleets an even better place to work. The day wasn’t without its lighter moments—Alan’s Notre Dame jersey drew a few chuckles during the brainstorming sessions—but the focus remained on driving BizFleets forward. Despite the long hours, the energy in the room remained high, fueled by a shared sense of purpose and the occasional coffee run.

Experiencing the Magic of Epcot

On Saturday, we swapped our business hats for our Disney hats—literally. The team spent the day at Epcot, where the Disney magic provided the team with a chance to connect outside the usual office setting, while sharing some laughs along the way.

For Joe Easterwood (Operations Analyst), Ella Easterwood (Marketing Intern), Janie Corridor (Partnerships Manager), her sister Jill, and Marti Lombarte Soler (Business Analyst), the World Showcase was a highlight. Together, they spent the day strolling through the international pavilions, taking in the sights and sounds of each country. When they reached France, they couldn’t resist a little souvenir shopping.

“The berets from the France pavilion were such a fun find. We all ended up wearing them for the rest of the day—it made for a great photo,” Ella recalls.

For many, Epcot’s iconic rides and attractions provided unforgettable moments. Dennis (CTO) and Evelyn (IT Consultant) described the thrill of soaring through the skies on one of Disney’s most famous rides:

“One of the highlights at Epcot on Saturday was Soarin’ Around the World–it felt like I was flying over some of the most beautiful places on Earth.”

Others found joy in experiencing Epcot’s family-friendly offerings. George Albright (VP of Fleet Operations) and Sean Stemas (Director of Business Development), both brought their families along, and the day proved to be just as special for them as it was for their children

“Our experience was amazing! My 8-year-old son, Parker, got to meet Mickey and give him a big hug,” Sean recounts.

"I've been to numerous off-site organization meetings during my career, but this one will hold a special place in my heart because we had the chance to meet and interact with each other's families. Following up an incredible and energetic day of organizational strategic planning sessions on Friday, our family spent the day at EPCOT center on Saturday making new memories. It's incredibly humbling and gratifying to work for an organization that is as employee-centric as BizFleets," George shares.

Ayah El-Taher (Fleet Operations Manager) and her husband Eric brought a touch of Star Wars fandom into their weekend, starting at Hollywood Studios before heading to Epcot.

“We built our own lightsaber and droid at Hollywood Studios, which was so fun. Then we explored Epcot and enjoyed drinks and snacks from all 11 countries! It was Eric’s first Disney experience, and we couldn’t have done it without this amazing trip.”

As evening fell, the team regrouped for dinner at Monsieur Paul, an elegant French restaurant in Epcot. The atmosphere was warm and celebratory, and the food was nothing short of extraordinary. As eloquently put by Evelyn:

“To top it off by ending the evening with a delicious meal at Monsieur Paul - c'était magnifique!”

A Weekend to Remember

Sunday arrived all too quickly, but as the team packed up to head home, there was a shared sense that this trip had been more than worth it. Between the work and the play, we had strengthened relationships and set a strong foundation for the year ahead.

These moments—away from the office and the daily grind—serve as a reminder of what makes BizFleets more than just a workplace; it’s a team of individuals who care deeply about what they do and the people they work alongside.

Danny summed it up perfectly: “It’s awesome to work for a company that values career and family life equally, and allow us to plan fun things like this.”

Here’s to an amazing start to 2025, and to many more shared adventures to come!
